About

Dave Sawyer is the proprietor of Sawyer EnviroEconomic Consulting. EnviroEconomics is a micro-consultancy specializing in the economics of environmental policy. We provide unique thinking on how to make environmental policy better, or more effective, and how to accomplish environmental goals at least cost, or more efficiently. Efficiency and effectiveness of course are not the entire policy story, and thus I highlight the trade-offs associated with alternative decisions. Issues of distribution, political and stakeholder acceptability and “affordability” are therefore an integral part of our thinking.

EnviroEconomics works in all areas of environmental policy, from toxics, to climate change, air, water and occasionally waste.

In this Blog, Dave will explore current events from an environmental economic lens and attempt to reveal some interesting outcomes.

    Hey Dave!

Do you still have your kid’s first snowboard? When did you first start them on a board?
